PIEAS aspires to be a university of national and international repute with a research-cum-teaching outlook, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while embracing emerging technologies that address future global challenges.
The University aims to maintain a student-to-teacher ratio of not more than 10:1, and an equal ratio between undergraduate and postgraduate (MS & PhD) students. This objective will be achieved through a transparent, merit-based fellowship programme in both conventional and emerging disciplines.
Special emphasis is placed on high-impact fields including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Nano-Materials, Alternate Energy, Laser Technology, Smart Agriculture and Biotechnology because of their potential for innovation, economic growth and societal development.
Continuous investment in faculty development, strengthening academia-industry collaboration, promoting multidisciplinary research and establishing the PIEAS Technology Park with the support of HEC are key priorities of PIEAS-ORIC/BIC.
